Taxpayer Protection

Recognized Leadership:

"First of all, is Daryl not the real deal? As a conservative, I'll go for cloning if we can start with him!"

- R.J. Harris, Host, WHP580 AM, speaking at the 2010 Pennsylvania State Capitol Taxpayers' Protest

Concerned citizens who descended on Harrisburg for the all-day Pennsylvania State Capitol Taxpayer's Protest,  on Tuesday, June 9, were welcomed by a united no tax increase coalition led by Representative Metcalfe and 47 other Republican state lawmakers, state and national watchdog groups, and radio talk show hosts.

Representative Metcalfe continues to lead the charge in the Pennsylvania House to provide "No Representation for Increased Taxation" and to deliver a balanced, fiscally responsible 2009-10 state budget that contains no tax or fee increases.

Preempting the governor's annual budget address, Representative Metcalfe joined with nearly a dozen fiscally conservative House Republicans in the State Capitol Rotunda, on Tuesday, Jan. 27, to roll out several government-limiting solutions to put Pennsylvania Taxpayers First!

For the sixth consecutive year of the Rendell administration, on March 18, Representative Metcalfe presented his annual state budget testimony before the House Appropriations Committee calling for reduced spending, reduced taxation, reduced borrowing and increased fiscal restraint.

During a press conference held on Tax Filing Day to introduce the 2007-08 Taxpayer Protection package, Representative Metcalfe once again charted an escape route from the "Rendell Road to Serfdom" by calling for reduced spending, reduced taxation and overall fiscal restraint
